Last night I had delicious mac and cheese from Dillettante which is a local chocolate retailer in Seattle.
You can usually find their chocolates all around Seattle in places like the grocery store or the airport. And during the holidays you can find bags of their chocolate selling at Costco.
I first found out about this place because my dentist in Idaho told me I had to check this place out. I was skeptical because are dentists allowed to recommend candy shops? Over the last 8 years, I have been frequenting this place for their cakes, tiramisu and to satisfy my random chocolate cravings.
Last night I went there for the first time for dinner. It was one of those nights where I felt incredibly indecisive. Luckily I was with a friend who has similar food taste as me. We settled on splitting the entire meal which consisted of pork sliders, a small arugula salad, Parmesan fries and mac and cheese.
I love mac and cheese, or anything with cheese in general. Last night only deepened my love of this dish. Their mac and cheese was the perfect amount of creamy cheese with breaded crumbs on the top. The blend of cheeses did not overpower you, it wasn’t excessively soupy and the breaded crumbs added the perfect topping.
Thus begins my quest for the best mac and cheese in Seattle.
